Be aware of what you are doing and What you are using to decorate your trees or
the outside of your house.

Follow these Simple Rules to Avoid Electrical Fires

To Avoid Electrical Fires this Holiday Season When Using Strands of Lights for Outside Your House
or on Your Tree.

  1. Check the condition closely of the light strings.  I thought it was so cool when my mom donated her outside lights to me
to decorate the outside of my house. But as I was putting them up I noticed several things.
The age of the lights were like 10 years old. The damage caused from being in the weather all those times
made me notice that there were frayed wires. Can you imagine putting those on your metal gutters?

  2. Do not plug multiple wires into one outlet. This causes your outlet to become overloaded.

  3. Replace bulbs in the light string with the same wattage bulb. If the bulb is not the correct one
it can cause too much energy to it and cause a fire.
